WIDELUX TOKYO

 In chronological order.

Warming things up

Capitol Hotel Tokyu

Tsukiji Fish Market

Freaky installation at the Gentle Monsters flagship store in Ginza. These were fully animatronic and their gaze would follow you around the store.

Snowing...

the classic view

One of the gates to Hie Shrine

Morning stroll

They get so many things right in Tokyo, but one thing I didn't appreciate were the bikers on the sidewalk

I took this by accident, but its actually kinda cool I think. Pantea left and Rustin right

First stepping out of the station in Akihabara (Electric City)

Pantea/Rustin ---- Kayvan/Rustin

Gachapon Store

This is cropped, but good

Crossing the street

This is a basement level "conveyer belt" sushi restaurant we ate at in Akihabara. But not the kind that there is constantly food revolving that you can pick up if you want it. Instead you order on an iPad at your booth and the sushi comes straight to your table via a conveyer belt with an offramp just for you. And it wasnt bad. Check in, ordering, paying were all automated. There was jingly Japanese-style waiting room music playing in the background, and each time someone checked out the overhead speaker would exclaim - "arigato gozaimashita!"

Pantea and Rustin on the train platform deciding what to order from the raw milk bar on the left. They sold all different kinds of flavored raw milk in glass bottles meant for immediate consumption and bottle return on site. It was really tasty.

New roll

Sake barrel offerings
